Jennifer sold her first paintings at the age of 16, and started to exhibit her work at the Society of Fulham Artists in London in 1975.
Following many solo and joint exhibitions, today her paintings can be found in Europe, USA and Australia. In 2000 she launched JD Art, publishing fine art prints and greeting cards taken from her original paintings. Since then, many thousands of her cards have been sold in France and the UK, and a series of her prints of farmyard animals was commissioned by a German publisher and sold worldwide.
With an army family background and brought up all over the world, Jennifer was based in Shropshire for many years. For the last 12 years she has lived in Azille, a pretty village in the Minervois, and exhibits throughout the Occitanie region. In 2015, she won the Gold Medal for watercolour paintings at the XXIème Salon des Béziers.
Jennifer’s paintings cover a great variety of subjects, including landscapes, seascapes, animals, flowers and still lifes, in both watercolour and oil. However since moving to live in the Minervois, her work now focusses very much on the land and seascapes of the area — and as a great admirer of the Impressionist painters of the 19th century, she always prefers working en plein air, or al fresco, whenever possible.
Her latest joint and solo exhibitions include Cazouls-lès-Béziers, Château de Grézan in Laurens and the Office de Tourisme Les Avants-Monts in Magalas.
